We are happy to invite you to the launch  of the book The Econocracy: The perils of leaving economics to the experts, which will take place Friday 11th of November, 18:00 at the University of Manchester. The book, published by the student group Rethinking Economics, looks at the way in which citizens are increasingly more isolated from politics by the use of economics and tries to open up the discipline for the wider public.

The authors of the book, Joe Earle, Cahal Moran and Zach Ward-Perkins, are founding members of the Post-Crash Economics Society.

Drinks reception in the foyer: 19:15-20:00


The event starts at 18:00 in room 1.218, at the first floor of the University Place building on Oxford Road. The event will be followed by a drinks reception, which will start at 19:15 and will take place in the foyer.
